Pops, Ypres, Veurne, Hondschoote,
Cassel and Bergues
Sitting on a terrace in Pops or visiting the
region of the fronts and the Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres.
Experience the impressive Last Post. Or visiting Hondschoote or the
historical little town with fortress, St.-Winoksbergen. Off to Cassel,
one of the hundred most beautiful villages of France. Kayaking on the
Yser or visiting the museum of Folk music in Dranouter.

The Coast
The coast is never far away! A firmly bicycle tour
or a day shopping in the Panne.
And in between a visit to a rural pub or restaurant, the museum of
Georges Grand
or the museum of the thirst: De Snoek.

Cycling
The region around Pops is a heavenly area
for bicyclists. If you like a flat course or a hilly course, there is
something for everyone and it is especially green and calm. You can
easily cycle to following destinations: Heuvelland with the hills of
Cats, Kemmel, Cassel, the red hill and the black hill. You can cycle to
Veurne and the West coast or too the North of France if you more like
flat courses. There are numerous courses for cycling and also a node of
cycling courses lies in our neighbourhood. We can offer you two bikes
to rent.

The Saint-Sixtusabbey of
West-Vleteren
(Just 15 minutes by bicycle)
Behind the walls of the monastery , a small group
of monks are living close to God. You can not visit the abbey , but you
can attend a mass which is also a unique experience. The abbey is world
famous for its beer and for its pub, the only pub who has the
permission to sell the Saint-Sixtusbeer. In these pub you can also find
the Claustrum, a virtual guided tour trough the abbey.

The village of poetry: Watou
The last decennium Watou became a real attraction for people who love
poetry and fine art. The spirit of
Claus is your guide in the different literary
corners. An ideal excursion, where you can vary a big portion of
artistic impressions with a nicely typical meal of the region in one of
the plenty restaurants behind every corner of the little town.

Walking
The Sixth Sun fares in the middle of green fields in a forested
environment. In the setting there are different special routes for
strollers like in Pops, Haringe, Westouter or Roesbrugge..
